Many times I just want God to do it. Whatever it is that needs fixing in my life. And so God, in His gracious way, reminds me that I have a part in the fixing … In this first article, let’s establish the first basic issue and then we’ll go from there. We must look at God’s love for us & His solution to a lost and dying world, dead in trespasses and sin. We are talking about a world going to Hell in the most literal sense and just as real as global warming or the population explosion - realities no one wanted to anticipate or take the necessary steps to prevent.

For example, in order to be saved from the wrath of God (which is His punishment for our sin and sins), there are some things we need to do. Let’s face it, all have sinned or (failed to be perfect) so we all face the wrath of God unless we get in line with the Creator and Sustainer of this universe “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I Jn1:9) If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Do you see His conditions in this verse? “Whoever believes”
His part was truly the hard part.
Our part is not easy because we must give up our autonomy and surrender all to the Lord Jesus. Not easy, but certainly easier than God’s part. Not easy but the alternative is so much harder and sorrowful.
